Join the Golden State Pops Orchestra as we bring the music of John Williams to life at the Warner Grand Theater on Saturday June 13th, 2009. Come and hear our tribute to Maestro Fox’s favorite film composer; whose music for the film Hook, introduced him to the art of film music, composing and conducting.

Celebrate Fathers Day a week early and hear some of your favorites, and some seldom performed selections from: Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, Hook, Angela's Ashes, Star Wars, Schindler's List, Cowboys and more.

The Symposium includes a choice of: Conducting for Beginners, Back-to-Basics’ Conducting and an Instrumental Class suitable for all school age students. Every student will have an opportunity to be involved in the El Segundo Concert Band outdoor concert on Saturday, July 25th, 2009, in the Hollywood Quad. In addition students will have admission into multiple Master Classes taught by:

• Maestro Steven Allen Fox
• Education Director Edie Rice
• Golden State Pops Orchestra Brass Quintet and Woodwind Quintet (Santa Monica Symphony members)
• Christopher Lennertz - Emmy nominated Television and award winning Video Game composer
• Stu Phillips - Legendary film and television composer (Battlestar Gallactica, Buck Rogers)
• William Stromberg - film composer and conductor (Tribute Film Classics)

Class fees are $275 for one class
