The Golden State Pops Orchestra is pleased to present their latest
musical adventure – Chamber Music for Families, featuring
the Chamber Players of Los Angeles and produced in collaboration
with the Grand Vision Foundation. This new concert series will
be presented in San Pedro’s newest performance space, The
Grand Annex, 434 West 6th Street, located just steps away from
the historic Warner Grand Theatre.
January 25th - Beethoven’s Septet
The Septet in E-flat major, Opus 20, by Ludwig van Beethoven,
was first performed in 1800 and was one of Beethoven's most successful
and popular works. This six movement piece features the clarinet,
bassoon, French horn, violin, viola, ‘cello and double bass
and is a unique introduction to these instruments and to Beethoven’s
early music. Demonstrations of the instruments and a live listener’s
guide to the septet will precede a full performance of the piece.
March 8th - Aires Tropicales
May 31st - A Musical Potpourri
Celebrating five years as the Warner Grand Theatre’s
Orchestra-in-Residence
Saturday February 7th @ 7:30 PM
at The historic warner Grand theatre,
478 West 6th Street in San Pedro.
Please help us celebrate our Fifth Anniversary as the historic
Warner Grand Theatre’s Orchestra-in-Residence. We sent out
a survey to our email list asking our audience to vote for their
favorite music from the past five years. We were surprised by
the responses – Fall of Love, Star Wars and Overture
to Candide were very popular and we will be performing Adventures
on Earth from E.T. (the final scene) with the film clip.
Join us on February 7th to find out the rest of the survey results
and to hear our very special guest vocalists, Timothy Gonzales,
and Jason Livesay.
